- We read the picture book Yertle the Turtle by Dr. Seuss and discussed similarities to the Holocaust.
- Assessment - Students had to find 2 similarities between Yertle the Turtle and the Holocaust and write a response using RACE.
- We read the play "Surviving the Holocaust"

- Students are reading a Holocaust book of their choice in class and completing a booklet. (see example below for instructions)

This 6 weeks, students will choose a topic under the theme of the Holocaust. They will research this topic, take notes, create an outline, and write an informative paper. Below you will find handouts, as well as examples of the finished work.
